TEENLIFTING® Platysma

TEENLIFTING® Platysma is different from all the cosmetic methods because it is the only one that acts on muscle, skin and bones at the same time, which improves the health of the person, and is not painful. This is a unique innovative method on the world market because it uses specially shaped electrodes to stimulate large muscle groups. Electrical stimulation of the platysma muscle offered on the market only partially stimulate it and only in individual spots. Such stimulation is too intense for these places, and at the same time too weak for the entire muscle and achievement of maximum results. It is performed with a device for electrical stimulation of muscles and acupuncture points. TEENLIFTING Platysma is an electrical stimulation of all the muscles of the neck, jawline, lips and cheeks for the purpose of tightening the neck skin, getting rid of a double chin, sculpting the lips and chin, non-surgical face lift, sculpting the face and neck, toning of muscles and skin, reducing dark circles, reducing swelling of the eyelids, strengthening the jaw joint and rehabilitation of snoring.

Muscles of the face and neck

The platysma muscle (Musculus platysma – broad neck muscle) is extremely delicate in structure, has a large surface area and covers the neck from the front and the sides. The muscle starts from the shoulder and deep in the chest at the front (fascia of musculus deltoideus and musculus pectoralis major). It helps lower the lower jaw and pull the corner of the lips downwards. It ends by crossing over the chin, merging with the facial muscles, merging with the skin at the height of the corner of the lips and the bones of the lower jaw (jowls). Upon contraction, it lifts the skin. From the front, the platysma does not cover the lower third of the neck.

Platysma serves to express tension or stress. Upon contraction, it creates vertical folds on the neck.

Due to its delicate build, platysma begins to sag already from the age of 20 and, compared with other muscles, it requires the most frequent workout sessions. These are all the difficulties faced when we want to strengthen the platysma quickly and for the result to last as long as possible.

The way it is stimulated is crucial in achieving results in terms of reducing the double chin and lifting the lower part of the face (jowls).

Are you aware that the most common aesthetic problem that occurs after the age of 25 is a double chin and sagging and drooping of the lower part of the face (jowls)?

Wrinkles start to worry us only later because they appear in the 30s. Many people think that the double chin occurs primarily when one is overweight and in old age, but with the decline of the growth hormone, as early as in the 20s, the jowls begin to sag. The world-class method developed by the innovator Dr. Sanja Malbaša Gošović, TEENLIFTING electrical stimulation of platysma, works like fitness for your face. TEENLIFTING of the platysma achieves a visible increase in muscle and skin tone, while at the same time reducing the double chin and lifting the lips and cheeks, as well as sculpting the face and the neck. Platysma is a muscle that covers the entire neck, lower jaw, and the lower part of the face.

The electrical stimulation of the platysma muscle currently on the market partially stimulates it and only in individual places. Such stimulation is too intense for these places, and at the same time too weak for the entire muscle and for achievement of maximum results.

TEENLIFTING of the platysma – jawline, neck and jowls – with unique electrodes, affects the complete platysma muscle, circular muscle of the mouth, the lower jaw and facial muscles targeting them jointly in a synchronised way. In a natural and healthy way, the double chin is lost without a knife (or any surgical procedures), with pleasant and painless stimulation.

When the lower part of the face (jowls) sags, the skin stretches, it is loose, the half-profile of the lower jaw is no longer emphasised, “bags” are formed on the lower part of the face under the corners of the lips, the wrinkles between the lips and cheeks deepen (nasolabial folds) and a change occurs that affects the appearance and expression of the entire face. Double chin is most common in people who are prone to weight gain and the elderly, but this does not always have to be the case. It is increasingly common in young and middle-aged people and is a major aesthetic problem.

Aesthetic problems on the jawline are caused by:

  1. Physiological, natural reduction in the secretion of hormones that stimulate muscle and skin toning (e.g. growth hormone decreases sharply as early as the age of 20…)
  2. By accumulating fat tissue on the neck, under the chin.
  3. By sagging of the platysma muscle (a thin layer of muscle located under the skin of the chin, lower part of the face (jowls), jawline and the neck) and the omohyoid muscle.
  4. Loss of skin elasticity in that part of the neck. The skin on the neck is poorly circulated, with few sebaceous glands and sweat glands, it is thin and delicate and tends to redden. If the stratum corneum is too dry, the skin becomes rough and inelastic.

When to expect visible results?

(sculpting and lifting of the face, fuller and more protruding lips, disappearance of wrinkles around the lips (nasolabial folds), reduction of dark circles and less swelling of the eyelids, tightening of the jowls and neck and tightening and sculpting of the face)

After several TEENLIFTING stimulations of platysma, muscle fibre inflammation can be felt on the part under the lower jaw or the lower part of the face (jowls). The appearance of muscle fibre inflammation is individual and depends on the initial muscle tone, intensity of stimulation, length and frequency of training. If it appears, you can continue with further training, only at a little lower intensity of stimulation, or take a few days off.

Although platysma and other muscles may be undergoing an intensive training, the initial visible results depend on the skin on the lower part of the face and the jawline in the shape of a hanging bag (jowls). Intensive circulation and drainage improve the quality of the skin. The skin on the jawline and neck is thin and sensitive, due to damage caused by sun exposure. Horizontal wrinkles in the middle of the neck, which are parallel to each other, are opened by TEENLIFTING of the platysma, and the speed of their disappearance depends on the number of trainings, age, skin quality, etc.

More elastic skin will instantly adapt to the new shape of the neck, jawline and face.

That is why it is recommended to start TEENLIFTING stimulation before the age of 30, because the sagging of the platysma has only just begun, the skin is elastic, and the results are visible the fastest. By maintaining muscle tone at a training intensity of 20-40 times a year, a person will have a perfect neck, jawline, lips and cheeks for the rest of their lives.

The results at that age, as well as in old age, can be slowed down by obesity. Adipose tissue cannot be removed by TEENLIFTING of the platysma.

Clients in their 50s and later can expect slower initial results, which depends on the elasticity of the skin. Even though that is not the rule.

The skin can be treated and nourished during the TEENLIFTING of the platysma using all the cosmetic treatments for the skin (RF, LPG, laser, IPL, AHA…).

All the skin treatments can eventually accelerate the visible results of a new muscle shape, but no skin treatment can shape a muscle.

If the skin is not treated at all, it will naturally retract and tighten within a few days or months. The skin is renewed daily, and the “complete” skin renewal lasts 30 days in the 30s. It is extended by aging to 60 days in the 70s. That is why the result is much more noticeable 5 or 6 days after the last training. It is possible that immediately after training, the skin “is sagging” in some places, which is logical, because the muscles quickly contract and shape, and the skin remains “empty”, i.e. without the support of a floppy muscle and it looks like there is “excessive skin”.

If you stop training, after a while, the muscles retain their strength and shape for a long time. Since electrical stimulation does not build muscles and it does not increase their volume, there is no occurrence of worsening after training.

WARNING:

  • for those who are on a diet and are trying to lose weight
  • for those who are spontaneously losing weight
  • for those who are starting training after losing 5 or more kilos – they need to lower the training frequency!

IDEAL TRAINING FREQUENCY:

  • 4 times a year 10 consecutive workout sessions (daily or every other day), with once per week maintenance in other months

AVERAGE TRAINING FREQUENCY:

  • twice a year 10 consecutive workout sessions, once per month maintenance
  • 3 times a year 5 consecutive workout sessions, no monthly workout sessions

MINIMUM TRAINING FREQUENCY:

  • 2 to 3 double workout sessions (weekend), twice a year
The first results can be expected after the 5th treatment, although younger people see them after the first one.

The first results can be expected after the 5th treatment, although younger people see the results after the first treatment.

How does TEENLIFTING of the platysma improve your health?

The effect of TEENLIFTING stimulation on the jaw joints and headache

In front of both ears there are two jaw joints (TMJs-temporomandibular joints), which connect the temporal bone with the lower jaw. They are fixed by tendons, ligaments and muscles that have the role to move the joint.

One of the disorders of TMJs is muscle tightening, a spasm of only certain jaw muscles, caused by a psychological component-stress. One of the symptoms of these spasms is headache, which does not respond to the usual treatment. Headache occurs in the morning (after an intense muscle spasm during night sleep) or after stressful situations during the day.

TEENLIFTING rehabilitates pain and headache by exercising all the muscles, “breaks” spasms and pain of certain muscles, and increases blood circulation and circulation to the muscles, skin and jaw bones.

The impact of TEENLIFTING Platisma on the restoration of the bone mass of the jaw and face.

The composition and metabolic balance of bones depend on the activity of the muscles, and on the moment of pressure and the tendon collagenous fibres attached to the bone. Muscle activity slows down the process of osteoporosis by constantly stimulating bone formation (on which bone regeneration is physiologically dependent).

It is for this reason that TEENLIFTING of the platysma is becoming one of the crucial treatments for the prevention and rehabilitation of osteoporosis of the bones of the jaw and face.

The effect of TEENLIFTING of the platysma stimulation on snoring rehabilitation.

The cause of snoring is a narrowing of the passage of air through the nose and/or the mouth. TEENLIFTING of the platysma successfully rehabilitates snoring in cases where:

  • The cause of the narrowing of the passage through the nose is caused by the swelling of the mucous membrane in allergies, or inflammation of the upper respiratory tract. TEENLIFTING of the platysma intensively drains swollen tissues.
  • The cause of narrowing of the passage through the mouth is caused by a decrease in the tone of the muscles of the tongue and throat, which allows the tongue to fall back into the airways. This can be a consequence of aging, alcoholism, sleeping pills… TEENLIFTING of the platysma strengthens the tone of the muscles of the tongue and throat and thus does not allow them to move.
Contraindications for TEENLIFTING are pacemaker, epilepsy, pregnancy, surgeries (over the last six months).
